My male Chilean Rose "Venom" just recently had a successful molt last Sunday in the early morning hours. When would you suggest to start feeding him again? Some say it takes about 1 week to even 2 or so till their bodies all hardened up & then you can try feeding them a cricket again? Also, I kept the molted skin & it's in a plastic glass display case. Is there anything I should be putting on it so it won't get very brittle & dissipate? Someone who's owned tarantulas before told me to use "slackle" or something in which you spray it over the T's molted skin to keep it together & from dissolving! Twisted Evil

Well it depends on the size of your T.
If it is an adult you may want to wait for a week to be on the save side, for a subadult after two or three days you can start feeding again.
The molt is best prepared when fresh, but you can make it soft by soaking it in a mixture of 1 drop of liquid dish detergend and a little bit of water to bring it into position or to stuff the abdomen (butt) with cotton or so. To keep it nice and fresh I always use hairspray. The best results will be with a non sticky hairspray (low level hairspray, so no strong one). Spray from a distance (about 12inches), let the molt sit until it is ciompletly dry and then put it in a display box or something else.
The hairspray will prevent the molt from rotting or breaking IT WILL ALWAYS BE VERY FRAGILE, so take caution when working with molts, it took me some time to be a little experienced with handling a molt without breaking it geek
