My name is Derek I have been a tarantula owner for about two years. My first T was a (Grammostola Rosea) "Chilean Rose hair" Named Sativa. A pet shop was shutting down and the owner just gave her to me. Unfortunatly I think because of her age judging by how huge she was for the breed, she had trouble with her most recent molt and died. So I purchased a few books and decided to get a new T. I ended up settling on a (Pterinochilus murinus) "Orange Baboon" because of it's beauty and their interesting webbing habits. I know this is an agressive species, but so far it has been fine. I am interested to see how she acts after her first molt under my care. Not quite sure of it's sex yet but I believe she is female due to the lack of tibial hooks or bulbous pedipalps. I have now become obsessed with Tarantula's and plan on getting many more.
