Meet up

I was wondering if you guys ever have meets or trade/ swaps????

Not yet, I am still triying to recruit more people, this comminty was established 2 weeks ago, so right now you are in the middle of the establishmend.
This is why I started the community to swap, sell or meet tarantula enthusiast.

Maybe we could meet in a central location sometime, maybe a coffee shop or something, just to meet fellow enthusiast? maybe have a once or twice a month kinda thing. what ya think?

I would that would depend upon which side of town we live on,on we could just decide to meet at a coffee shop in five points. As for me I would be coming from the westside here, near Normandy.

not sure where other people are located in town, but a desent center location would be riverside five points , i would think the Starbucks there across from riverside (memorial park maybe, right on riverside ave) park would be good, any other suggestions?

I just recently moved to Jacksonville and it would be awesome to do a meet-up! Mr. Pokie (my boyfriend) introduced me to Jax Tarantulas!

I definitely understand that! We'll be going to the show on Saturday.. Even if we don't pick up anything at all (or if we do it'll be something small), it'll be well worth it. I can't wait to see my first reptile show!

So we reacht a descission at around 10 am on saturday and boy was I glad we did go.

I took home an avicularia versicolor, a brachypelma albopilosum and what a treat a poecilotheria rufilata.
Also there was this guy with some super low priced tanks.

This year the show was pretty small, normaly you have three times the amount of vendors, so that was a little dissapointing.

I went to the Reptile Expo in Daytona...dropped like $150 dollars on tarantulas plus about another $50 on supplies. Got 2 A. versicolors, 1 A. purpurea, 1 G. pulchra, and 2 OBTs.
